Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is hiring a Product Support Sales Representative in Gary, IN to provide OEM and aftermarket parts and service sales across the assigned territory. The role reports to the Gary agency and offers compensation in the range of $60,000 to $100,000 per year.

The position includes engagement in sales of OEM and aftermarket parts, cold calling, and growth in territory sales. Applicants should have an Associate degree with 4–6 years of experience, strong negotiation and customer

Product Support Sales Representative – Gary, IN

Reporting to our agency at Gary, IN, the primary role of this position is to provide OEM and aftermarket parts and service sales throughout the assigned territory. The expected compensation for this role ranges between $60,000-$100,000/year.

Responsibilities

• Sales of OEM parts
• Sales of aftermarket parts
• Make cold calls to equipment owners in the assigned territory
• Work in territory and provide growth in sales in those areas
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 4-6 years of experience
• Strong negotiation, selling and customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record and automobile insurance
• Computer programs: Word processing, spreadsheet, accounting and equipment manufacturing technical software
• Intermediate language skills – read, interpret, write documents, speak effectively
• Intermediate mathematical skills – calculate figures, apply algebra and geometry
• High reasoning ability – solve practical problems, interpret instructions

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Regularly sit; frequently stand, walk, climb or balance; occasionally use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk/hear, taste/smell
• No special vision requirements
• Lift up to 25 pounds regularly; 26-50 pounds frequently
• Work near moving mechanical parts; exposure to fumes or airborne particles, wet or humid conditions, high precarious places; occasionally outdoor weather conditions, around toxic or caustic chemicals
