Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc in Wisconsin is seeking a Product Support Engineer to advance the escalation process, support existing designs, and drive rapid root-cause resolutions across services, operations and product development.

You will lead cross‑functional projects, manage ECNs, improve FPY, reduce warranty costs, and collaborate with manufacturing, quality and supply chain to ensure BOM accuracy and design-for-reliability across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5 years of engineering experience.
• Strong BOM management on ETO/CTO/SEQ products.
• SAP/Windchill or PLM/ERP proficiency.
• Structured problem-solving (e.g., 8D) to address field issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support to Operations, triaging defects and ramping down issues.
• Coordinate fast-turn fixes and drive permanent corrective actions.
• Manage ECNs from identification through release and validation.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, NPD/Systems Engineering, Compliance/Test, and Supply Chain.
• Lead 8D, RCA, ICA and PCA activities to improve field performance.
