Job summary

Generac in Wisconsin seeks a Product Support Engineer to provide daily technical support to Operations, triage shop-floor defects, and drive rapid containment and permanent corrective actions.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure BOM accuracy, manage ECNs, and implement design-for-reliability across platforms. A Bachelor's in Engineering and 5 years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5 years engineering experience.
• Strong BOM/ERP management and an understanding of ETO/CTO/SEQ configurations.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support to Operations, triaging shop-floor defects and enabling fast containment.
• Coordinate fast-turn fixes and drive permanent corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure BOM accuracy and current build standards.
• Support ECNs end-to-end from identification through release and verification.
• Apply structured problem-solving (8D) to address top field quality issues.
