Job summary

Generac is seeking a Product Support Engineer to lead engineering actions for escalated issues, provide daily shop-floor support, and drive rapid root-cause resolution across product lines.

The role partners with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development to ensure BOM accuracy, implement durable corrective actions, and advance design-for-reliability initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Beaver Dam, WI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5 years of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support to Operations (line builds, start-up, test, PPAP/first articles, build issues).
• Coordinate fast-turn fixes and interim containments, then drive permanent corrective actions.
• Partner with plant leadership to ensure BOMs, routings, and drawings reflect current build standards.
• Support 8D, root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone), and corrective actions to improve field performance.
• Manage ECNs from identification through validation and release.
• Collaborate with Product Management, NPD, Compliance, and Supply Chain to prevent recurrence.
