Job summary

Fives Landis Corp – Gardner Abrasives in South Beloit, Illinois seeks a Product Specialist to join its Application Engineering team. You will demonstrate the value of Gardner products to enhance customer processes, support sales growth, and perform product/applications analysis with collaboration across manufacturing and marketing.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1-5 years of related experience in machining or sales, with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma and 1-5 years of sales or application experience in machining.
• Strong oral and written communication, plus interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate added value of Gardner products to improve customer processes and show cost savings.
• Support the sales team with identifying new business and growth opportunities.
• Perform product and applications analysis, identify improvements and solutions.
• Provide customer quotations, product descriptions, and material specifications.
• Act as a technical resource for outside sales, customer service, and marketing teams.
• Travel to customer sites to test products when required.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to learn, test, and improve product performance.
