Gardner Abrasives, part of Fives Landis Corp, seeks a Product Specialist in South Beloit, IL. You will demonstrate the value of Gardner products to customers, support the sales team with new business, and perform product and applications analysis.

You will provide quotations and act as a technical resource for sales, service and marketing, including travel to client sites. The role requires a high school diploma and 1–5 years of sales or application experience in machining, with preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–5 years of sales or application experience in machining preferred.
• Cutting tool, dressing tool, and/or grinding experience preferred.
• Strong oral & written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate added value of Gardner products to improve customer processes and cost savings.
• Support the sales team with identifying new business and marketing growth opportunities.
• Perform product and applications analysis and identify product improvements and solutions.
• Provide customer quotations, product descriptions, and material specifications.
• Act as a technical resource for outside sales, customer service, and marketing team.
• Travel and test products at customer sites when required.
• Interact with the manufacturing plant to learn, test, and improve product performance.
• Learn machine processes, technical products, and configurations.
• Generate and maintain product performance reports, forecasts, opportunities and trends.
