Job summary

Fives Landis Corp in Rockford, IL is seeking a Product Specialist to join its Gardner Abrasives team. The role is on-site with a salary range of 65K–75K, determined by experience, and involves supporting sales, analyzing products, and providing quotations and materials specs.

You will travel to customer sites as needed and collaborate with manufacturing to improve product performance, with a focus on machining applications and customer value.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma.
• 1–5 years of sales or application experience in machining preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate added value of Gardner products to improve customer process and demonstrate cost savings.
• Support the sales team with identifying new business and marketing growth opportunities.
• Ability to perform product and applications analysis and identify product improvements and solutions.
• Provide customer quotations; product descriptions, and material specifications.
• Act as a technical resource for outside sales, customer service, and marketing team.
• Travel and test products at customer sites when required.
• Regularly interact with the manufacturing plant to learn, test, and improve product performance.
• Ability to learn machine processes, technical products, and configurations.
• Ability to generate and maintain product performance reports, forecasts, application opportunities, and trends.
