Job summary

Amca is building America’s industrial base and seeks a Product Software Engineer to own software initiatives across headquarters and factory sites. You will observe operations, identify constraints, and decide what to build or change to improve throughput, quality, or lead times.

You will develop end-to-end solutions using TypeScript/React for the front end and Go for the backend, delivering working prototypes and guiding them to production with measurable value. Travel to US sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years shipping production full-stack software.
• Production experience with TypeScript and React.
• Backend service and API development in a typed language, with strong data modeling instincts.
• Demonstrated ownership of a project from problem discovery through deployment, adoption, and iteration.
• Genuine comfort working directly with non-technical users, including on a factory floor.
• Willingness to travel to Amca factory sites across the United States as needed.

Responsibilities

• Embed with teams at headquarters and at factory sites, observing operations to identify constraints.
• Identify problems worth solving by interviewing operators, quality, planning, supply chain, and engineering, and quantify current process costs.
• Evaluate whether software is the right solution, recognizing when other changes are more effective.
• Own the product decision, including scope, prioritization, and sequencing.
• Build end-to-end using TypeScript/React on the front end and Go on the back end, taking it to production.
• Design interfaces, producing clean experiences for a production environment.
• Move quickly from concept to working software and gather user feedback early.
• Drive adoption after launch by working with users and iterating until value is delivered.
