Job summary

The Advanced Manufacturing Company of America is seeking a Product Software Engineer in El Segundo to own and deliver software that speeds up production. You will work across headquarters and factory sites, designing and deploying tools that fit how teams operate and deliver measurable value.

Responsibilities include embedding with production teams, evaluating problems, and delivering end-to-end solutions using TypeScript, React, and Go while iterating with users to ensure adoption and impact.

Qualifications

• 4+ years shipping production full-stack software.
• Production experience with TypeScript and React.
• Backend service and API development in a typed language, with strong data modeling instincts.
• Demonstrated ownership of a project from problem discovery through deployment, adoption, and iteration.
• Comfort working directly with non-technical users, including on a factory floor.
• Willingness to travel to Amca factory sites across the United States as needed.

Responsibilities

• Embed with teams at headquarters and factory sites to observe operations and identify constraints.
• Interview operators and engineers to quantify current process costs before proposing changes.
• Evaluate whether software is the right solution, and identify alternative process improvements.
• Own the product decision, including scope, prioritization, and what not to build.
• Build end-to-end using TypeScript/React on the front end and Go on the back end, taking it to production.
• Design intuitive interfaces suited for production environments.
• Move quickly from concept to working software and gather user feedback early.
