Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• 5 years of relevant cybersecurity engineering experience.
• 2 years of experience managing a team of engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of product safety and security engineering across Gentex production products.
• Set the vision for the product safety and security engineering team in line with corporate objectives.
• Manage a team of direct reports including recruiting, training, retaining, and performance management.
• Mentor and coach engineering leaders to optimize performance across teams.
• Drive the strategy and ongoing improvement of safety and security engineering methods and processes.
• Standardize safety and security engineering processes to ensure ongoing success of production products.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure project success.
• Manage relationships with contract software development companies and coordinate staff augmentation contracts.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
