Job summary

Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing in Baltimore seeks an SAF Engineer to serve as a technical contact for customers, interpret safety standards, and develop test procedures for products under investigation. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities include conducting tests per protocols, recording results, ensuring calibrated equipment, coordinating with Lab Managers and Project Coordinators, and preparing certification reports to support

Qualifications

• Four-year college Engineering degree, or other technical degree with relevant work experience
• Four years of direct work experience in product safety engineering and hazardous location equipment product safety engineering

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer technical contact.
• Interpret standards and apply the requirements to products under investigation.
• Create and implement test procedures.
• Conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures, record results.
• Ensure that test equipment is calibrated or tested and operates properly.
• Interface with and update the Lab Manager(s), Team Leader(s) and Project Coordinator(s).
• Monitors multiple projects underway.
• Prepare certification reports and related documents.
