Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of direct work experience in product safety engineering and hazardous location equipment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accept guidance from others.
• Ability to deal with difficult people and problems.
• Able to work well in a team and with a diverse group.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer technical contact.
• Interpret standards and apply requirements to products under investigation.
• Create and implement test procedures.
• Conduct tests and record results.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated and operating properly.
• Interface with Lab Managers, Team Leaders and Project Coordinators.
• Assist with training of junior technicians and engineers.
• Review files and reports prepared by project engineers.
• Monitor multiple projects underway.
• Prepare certification reports and related documents.
• Assist with quoting and sales activities.
• Keep current with industry developments and disseminate to the team.
• Assist with conducting training of testing personnel.
• Perform technical review of relevant reports and project files.
