Job summary

Baseten in San Francisco is hiring Software Engineers for our Product Platform team. You will own customer-facing features end to end, from problem discovery with customers to design, shipping, and iteration in production.

You will build scalable platforms and systems, ship in phases with direct input from internal and external customers, and work as a peer with product and design. You’ll influence prioritization and help buyers integrate Baseten’s tooling around billing and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Own customer-facing features end to end, from understanding who you're building for through design, launch, and iteration.
• Build platforms and systems that scale and perform well in production, not one-off features or scaffolding.
• Ship in phases, working directly with internal and external customers to validate and iterate along the way instead of betting on a single big launch.
• Weigh competing customer requests and make clear prioritization calls based on impact.
• Work closely with product, design, forward deployed engineering, and go-to-market teams as a peer, contributing ideas rather than just implementing specs.
• Build the systems behind how customers buy, integrate, and use Baseten, across billing, partnerships, and developer and agentic tooling.
• Take ownership of ambiguous problems, move quickly, and drive them to completion with little process.
• Pick up new problem areas quickly and grow your scope as the team and product expand.
