Job summary

Baseten is seeking experienced Software Engineers to join the Platform team within the Infrastructure organization. You will own the deployment platform, release pipelines, and safety mechanisms that enable engineers to deploy changes rapidly while minimizing risk.

We value elegant solutions and scalable systems. As an early Platform Team member, you will build internal infrastructure, contribute to CI/CD tooling, and collaborate across product and infrastructure groups to ship reliable

Qualifications

• Experience building or operating production-grade deployment platforms.
• Strong Go and/or Python proficiency.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based deployment at scale.
• Experience with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD or Flux).
• Commitment to safe, low-blast-radius releases.
• Able to work independently on ambiguous, high-impact challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design and build continuous deployment infrastructure across Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop progressive delivery systems with canaries and staged rollouts.
• Improve release velocity by automating deployment workflows.
• Ensure services are deployable, observable, and resilient at scale.
• Evolve deployment methodologies like GitOps and IaC.
• Build health-evaluation systems using metrics, logs, and traces to trigger safe rollbacks.
• Explore agent-assisted or autonomous deployment workflows with AI tooling.
