Job summary

Baseten is seeking a Software Engineer to build and own the partner platform, enabling integrations with model labs, hyperscalers, and AI infra partners. You will design robust APIs, ship production-grade code, and collaborate across Partnerships, Product, and Engineering to scale Baseten’s platform for AI workloads.

You will work across cloud infrastructure and application code, delivering reusable platform primitives and ensuring reliable, scalable partner experiences in production.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, shipping, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Proven ability to lead ambiguous engineering projects across teams while delivering production code.
• Strong judgement on API design, service boundaries, and failure handling.
• Ability turn customer or partner requests into defined technical scope and plan.
• Comfort debugging across application code and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead partner integrations from discovery to production operation.
• Design APIs and define system boundaries with partner teams.
• Write substantial production code and own the systems you build.
• Develop reusable primitives across identity, provisioning, inference, metering, and billing.
• Coordinate milestones, dependencies, risks, and architectural tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with Partnerships and Product to translate opportunities into platform investments.
