Job summary

Preferred Risk Insurance Services is seeking an experienced Product Owner – Insurance Technology to drive delivery of business and technology initiatives in our P&C environment.

You will partner with business stakeholders, developers, QA, and architects to define requirements, manage backlogs, prioritize work, and ensure timely delivery across Guidewire, AS400, and data platforms. Strong agile facilitation and Jira proficiency are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Product Owner/PO-related roles in insurance tech.
• Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance processes and systems.
• Experience with insurance technology platforms such as Guidewire, AS400/iSeries, data warehouse, APIs, and UI/UX.

Responsibilities

• Own and refine product and technical backlogs for assigned technology teams.
• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and coordinate sprint planning and reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to document and clarify requirements.
• Create epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira.
• Balance business priorities, production support, defects, and technical debt.
• Communicate risks, timelines, and delivery progress to leadership.
