Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Product Owner I in the United States to bridge product strategy and technical delivery. You will decompose features into user stories, write acceptance criteria, and ensure the backlog is well‑defined for delivery teams.

You’ll partner with Product Managers, Designers, Engineering Leads, and QA to align scope with release plans. You’ll manage story sequencing, validation of ready criteria, and contribute to estimation, planning, and documentation while guiding

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
4+ years of relevant experience.
Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
Experience in business analysis or product ownership in a software product organization.
Direct experience decomposing features into actionable stories and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

Owns and manages the development team backlog including stories, bugs, tasks, technical debt, and feature decomposition.
Collaborates with Product Designers to embed UX specs into story acceptance criteria.
Maintains the team Definition of Ready and acts as final authority on functional acceptance for stories.
Manages backlog sequencing and alignment with deadlines, capacity, and dependencies.
Manages feature flags and works with Release Management on rollouts and observability.
