Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Product Owner I to bridge product strategy and technical execution. You will translate vision into deliverable stories, decompose features into user stories, and define acceptance criteria to guide development.

You’ll partner with Product Designers, Engineering Leads, and QA to maintain a healthy backlog, enforce the Definition of Ready, and ensure timely delivery from definition to release verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; combination of education and experience considered.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
• 4+ years in business analysis, product ownership, or similar software roles.

Responsibilities

• Owns and manages the development team's backlog, including stories, bugs, tasks, and tech debt.
• Decomposes features into user stories with acceptance criteria, boundaries, and testable behaviors.
• Collaborates with Designers and Engineers to ensure clear, unambiguous requirements and timely delivery.
• Enforces the team Definition of Ready and serves as final functional acceptance authority on stories.
• Manages feature flag lifecycle and supports observability and success metrics.
