Job summary

General Motors seeks a Product Owner / Tool Developer to lead integrations between third‑party CAE apps and Scale as part of the SPDM ecosystem. You will own INSPIRE governance, translate engineering needs into a roadmap, and collaborate with GM IT, vehicle programs, and vendors to deliver scalable data and workflows.

The role emphasizes software integration, architecture, testing, and cross-domain collaboration to enable MDIO capabilities and optimized engineering workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with software integration, APIs, data pipelines, or technical product development.
• Experience with CAE, simulation, engineering data management, PLM, or related systems.
• Ability to translate engineering needs into technical requirements and executable solutions.
• Experience with product ownership, roadmap development, backlog prioritization, or ALM.
• Collaborative, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrations between third-party CAE apps and Scale via APIs.
• Own INSPIRE product lifecycle, roadmap, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate with GM IT, vehicle programs, and vendors on priorities and risks.
• Define integration architecture, data flows, and interface specs.
• Lead PoC, solution design, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
