Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Product Owner / Tool Developer to lead the integration of third-party CAE connections with Scale and INSPIRE within the SPDM ecosystem. You will translate engineering needs into a roadmap and manage cross-functional delivery.

You will collaborate with GEOS leadership, GM IT, vehicle programs, and vendors to define architecture, data flows, and interfaces. This role emphasizes ownership of the INSPIRE lifecycle and future MDIO capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with software integration, APIs, data pipelines, engineering applications, or technical product development.
• Experience with CAE, simulation, engineering data management, PLM, or related systems.
• Ability to translate needs into technical requirements and executable solutions.
• Experience with product ownership, roadmaps, backlog prioritization, or lifecycle management.
• Strong collaboration with IT, vendors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrations between CAE apps and Scale using APIs and approved frameworks.
• Complete Scale API and platform training and apply knowledge to data connections and interfaces.
• Integrate INSPIRE tools into the Scale SPDM environment.
• Act as technical interface to Scale and vendors for architecture, testing, and issue resolution.
• Own INSPIRE product lifecycle, including vision, backlog, releases, and communications.
• Translate engineering needs into requirements, user stories, specs, and roadmaps.
