The ideal candidate has experience working as a Technical Product Owner on a Platform Modernization initiative.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize backlog, and organize value. Collaborate closely with the Scrum Master.
• Serve as a deeply technical product owner, working closely with lead engineers. Understand how APIs and microservices work.
• Identify dependencies that enable platform functionality, working closely with the data team.
• Contribute to capabilities development, including building new services and an event hub. The platform supports other systems. The team includes 10 engineers, a Scrum Master, and QA.
• Focus on the "Platform Modernization" project — transitioning from a microservice platform to a modular platform where all apps communicate seamlessly.
• Engage with stakeholders such as other engineering teams or UX designers to determine data needs for feature development, working closely with lead engineers and architects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, with expertise in:
• Writing effective technical stories for developers
• Experience with platform modernization projects similar to the current initiative
