Job description

The Application Development team for our client is seeking a Product Owner. Responsibilities include managing the product backlog, developing user acceptance criteria, and implementing new applications, features, and web technologies. You will be a key resource in transitioning to agile development. This role involves developing and maintaining multiple websites for external clients and internal operations. Client-facing sites enable bill payments and account management, while internal sites administer user accounts. Enhancements will be mirrored across sites to ensure parallel development. The project also includes integrating invoicing processes through SAP or Boome, authorizing transactions, and managing invoice distribution, requiring knowledge of both front-end and back-end development, as well as APIs.

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information technology systems operations
Determines user needs and requirements and recommends ways to improve systems
Serves as primary point of contact between users and engineering/development staff
Identifies, documents, reports and tracks system issues
Supports the process of translating business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables

Must Haves:

Minimum 3-5+ years of experience using Agile SCRUM methodology
Experience analyzing business issues and identify solutions that meet business goals
Ability to produce clear and concise workflow documents to drive balanced solutions that consider people, process and technology components
Experience working with technical leads to refine backlog and plan sprints
Outgoing personality that can work directly with business stakeholders, clients, designers, developers and engineers to coordinate the building of applications to spec and on time
Ability to create test scenarios based on user stories, application specification and interviews with developers
CSPO certification***

Nice to Have:

Experience with various Agile or Safe Agile framework
Experience with Microsoft Visio or Lucid
Understanding and use of universal Service bus products such as Boomi and Informatica
Solid understanding of cloud computing and utilizing cloud environments such as AWS
Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC): code control, build and release.
