• Guide delivery discussions using business and technical context; identify impediments, support decisions, and elevate risks or issues as needed.
• Apply knowledge of chat, IVR/voice conversational AI, integrations, and cloud architectures to evaluate solutions, validate designs, and support platform optimization.

Associate Product Owner – Chat Platform (Chat and IVA/IVR)

Job Summary

The Associate Product Owner supports the roadmap, backlog, and Agile delivery of an enterprise Chat Platform spanning chat and intelligent virtual assistant/interactive voice response (IVA/IVR) experiences. The role translates stakeholder priorities into actionable features and user stories, coordinates scope and release planning, and partners with Scrum and engineering teams to deliver multi-channel customer experience improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define and refine product roadmaps, release timelines, feature scope, and functional designs for chat and IVR channels.
• Maintain, prioritize, and groom the Chat Platform backlog in alignment with strategic goals and platform enhancements.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Agile project delivery role within IT or software development.
• Experience writing user stories, managing software backlogs, and participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency with Jira, digital.ai Agility, Confluence, or equivalent Agile tracking tools.
• Understanding of conversational AI, chatbots, IVR/voice systems, digital customer experience platforms, and basic system integrations.
• Foundational knowledge of cloud technologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong stakeholder management, written and verbal communication, prioritization, and ability to balance competing demands.

Additional Desired Characteristics

• Experience with enterprise chat, IVR, contact center, or conversational AI platforms.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in health insurance or another heavily regulated industry.
