Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is hiring a Product Marketing Manager in California to drive the business performance of imaging, lasers, and photonics product lines.

You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Customers to define strategy and roadmaps, forecast revenue and margins, and craft compelling marketing content. You will lead market analysis, lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration to win new business and shape product direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required.
• 5+ years of product marketing or product management experience with technical products (imaging, lasers, photonics or optics).
• Strong strategic thinking with ability to plan and execute.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player adept at cross-functional global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product line strategy and roadmap, including requirements and business cases for new products.
• Forecast product line volumes, revenue and margins with input from sales and operations.
• Analyze market segmentation, customer needs, competition, trends to target opportunities and threats.
• Manage product lifecycle and make decisions on product changes, new models, and obsolescence.
• Create messaging and content for marketing materials, ads, datasheets, tradeshows, website, PR, memos, newsletters, collateral.
• Support sales to win business, present at conferences, and assist with tradeshows.
