MKS Instruments, including Spectra-Physics, is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to partner with Engineering, Operations, Sales and Customers to drive business performance of our photonics lines. You will shape product strategy, craft roadmaps and develop compelling messaging for marketing materials.

The role demands strong communication, strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration across global teams, with travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required.
• 5+ years of product marketing or product management experience with technical products (imaging, lasers, photonics or optics).
• Strategic thinker able to plan and execute tactically.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player and works well in cross-functional global environments.

Responsibilities

• Defining and communicating the product line strategy and product roadmap, including requirements and business cases for new products.
• Forecasting product line volumes, revenue and margins with input from sales and operations.
• Understanding market segmentation, applications, customer needs, competition, trends and dynamics to target opportunities and threats.
• Managing the product lifecycle including decisions on product changes, new models, priorities and obsolescence.
• Creating messaging and content for marketing materials (ads, datasheets, tradeshows, website, PR, memos, newsletters).
• Supporting sales to win new business and orders, including presenting at conferences and helping with tradeshows.
• Travel Requirements: Up to 20% of travel is required.

As a Product Marketing Manager at Spectra-Physics, you will partner with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Customers to drive the business performance of the multi-photon and bio-imaging product lines.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Defining and communicating the product line strategy and product roadmap, including defining requirements and business cases for new products
• Forecasting product line volumes, revenue and margins, with sales and operations input
• Developing an understanding of market segmentation, application and customer needs, competition, market trends and dynamics to support strategies to target new opportunities and threats
• Managing the product lifecycle including leading decisions for product changes, new models, resource priorities and eventual model obsolescence
• Creating and conveying messaging and content for marketing materials including advertisements, datasheets, tradeshows, website, PR, product memos, newsletters and collateral
• Supporting sales to win new business and orders which will include presenting at conferences and assisting with tradeshows
• Travel Requirements: Up to 20% of Travel is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Pay Range: $130,000.00 - 200,000.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
