Job summary

MKS Inc. in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for Spectra-Physics product lines. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Sales and Customers to drive business performance of multi-photon and bio-imaging products.

The role requires 5+ years in technical product marketing, strong cross-functional collaboration, and travel up to 20%. You will craft strategies, forecast revenue, and develop compelling collateral to enable sales and market growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product line strategy and roadmap, including requirements and business cases for new products.
• Forecast product line volumes, revenue and margins with input from sales and operations.
• Develop understanding of market segmentation, customer needs, competition, trends to target opportunities and threats.
• Manage product lifecycle including decisions on product changes, new models, resource priorities and obsolescence.
• Create messaging and content for marketing materials (advertisements, datasheets, tradeshow collateral, website, PR, memos).
• Support sales to win new business; present at conferences and assist with tradeshows.
• Travel up to 20%.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Defining and communicating the product line strategy and product roadmap, including defining requirements and business cases for new products
• Forecasting product line volumes, revenue and margins, with sales and operations input
• Developing an understanding of market segmentation, application and customer needs, competition, market trends and dynamics to support strategies to target new opportunities and threats
• Managing the product lifecycle including leading decisions for product changes, new models, resource priorities and eventual model obsolescence
• Creating and conveying messaging and content for marketing materials including advertisements, datasheets, tradeshows, website, PR, product memos, newsletters and collateral
• Supporting sales to win new business and orders which will include presenting at conferences and assisting with tradeshows
• Travel Requirements: Up to 20% of Travel is required.

Skills You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering or Science
• 5+ years of product marketing or product management experience with technical products (imaging, lasers, photonics or optics)
• Strategic thinker / planner while adept at tactical decisions and requirements of the role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Pay Range: $ 130,000.00 - 200,000.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
