Job summary

ABB Traction Division seeks a Local Product Manager to drive long-term profitable growth in the US market. You will work with local sales and global product teams to translate customer needs into technically sound solutions and coordinate handovers to engineering while maintaining project costs.

Role requires deep knowledge of power electronics, drive subsystems, and strong English communication; travel in the US is regular, with potential international trips.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years in industrial environments including engineering, R&D and technical sales.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics and traction subsystems with railway/e-Mobility exposure a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication; able to influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define optimal technical solutions and scope with customers and sales teams.
• Accountable for customer acquisition and order intake with global product management.
• Transition won projects to engineering while maintaining solution ownership and costs.
• Build trustful customer relationships and provide timely technical support.
• Summarize market trends and identify gaps in ABB portfolio with teams.
• Define product value proposition and support marketing communication activities.
