Job summary

Fluence Energy is seeking a Product Manager, System Intelligence to advance SBMS, analytics, and intelligent control features. You will translate complex inputs into clear requirements and drive scalable solutions across hardware, software, and analytics teams.

The role requires 3+ years in product management for system-level renewable energy or battery systems, plus strong communication and leadership skills. Willingness to travel and collaborate across time zones is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of product management experience owning complex, system-level products in renewable energy or battery systems.
• Experience leading engineering teams to achieve ambitious goals.
• Ability to define product direction in ambiguous problem spaces.
• Experience building business cases with discounted cash flow modeling, IRR, and NPV for BESS/renewables.
• System-level understanding of battery energy storage systems and their applications.
• Clear, structured communicator capable of translating technical and commercial needs.

Responsibilities

• Shape the product strategy and roadmap for System Intelligence (SBMS, analytics, controls).
• Translate objectives into clearly defined product requirements and prioritized initiatives.
• Understand customer challenges and link features to value via financial modeling.
• Identify opportunities for joint hardware, software, and analytics work to boost value.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to validate problems and roadmap priorities.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, analytics, and commercial teams to ensure reliable, scalable delivery.
• Support engineering teams in day-to-day problem solving toward milestones.
• Assist regional sales and marketing with customer conversations and materials.
