Job description

Description

The Product Manager Store Systems is responsible for defining and delivering software solutions that empower the stores, franchisees, and field operations teams to operate more effectively.

This role will have primary responsibility for the ShiftSmart integration and will also support other capabilities across a product and the broader Store Systems ecosystem. The role focuses on building and enhancing integrated store workflows, improving operational execution, and enabling clear, actionable information across store and enterprise systems.

As a Product Manager, you will own key capabilities across product, store-system integrations, and related operational platforms. You will partner closely with store and field leaders, UX, engineering, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure our tools and integrations are intuitive, reliable, scalable, and aligned to real-world operational needs.

This role is highly stakeholder-focused and requires strong organization, communication, and facilitation skills to translate complex store, integration, and operational challenges into scalable product solutions.

About the Team

The Store Systems team is responsible for building and evolving the product and related capabilities that support daily store operations, including store data, item and pricing workflows, inventory, ordering, promotions, operational execution, and integrations with other store and enterprise systems.

The team also partners with internal and external platforms to connect store workflows and improve visibility into operational performance. This includes enabling integrations such as ShiftSmart and helping ensure that data, tasks, and outcomes move reliably across systems.

These tools and integrations are critical to simplifying store execution, improving visibility into performance, and enabling more efficient decision-making for stores, franchisees, field teams, and the broader business.

Our mission is to reduce operational complexity, increase store and field productivity, and deliver reliable systems that help stores execute at the highest level.

What Youll Do
  • Own and evolve product strategy for the product, ShiftSmart integration capabilities, and related Store Systems tools
  • Translate store, field operations, franchisee, and business needs into a clear product vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog
  • Identify opportunities to simplify store operations and improve efficiency through integrated digital solutions
  • ShiftSmart & Store Systems Integration
  • Lead product definition and delivery for the ShiftSmart integration, including business requirements, user workflows, data exchange, dependencies, and success measures
  • Partner with ShiftSmart, engineering, architecture, data, security, and Store Systems teams to establish reliable integration patterns and clear ownership across systems
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, testing, pilot readiness, rollout planning, and adoption for new ShiftSmart capabilities
  • Identify and resolve integration gaps, data-quality issues, exception scenarios, and operational risks that could affect stores or field teams
  • Store Operations & Product Enablement
  • Build and enhance capabilities that support store teams in managing daily operations, including item and pricing workflows, inventory, ordering, promotions, store configuration, and operational information
  • Improve workflow efficiency by reducing manual effort, fragmentation, and redundant processes across the product and connected systems
  • Partner with store, field, and business stakeholders to deeply understand operational pain points and translate them into scalable solutions
  • Workflow & Systems Innovation
  • Drive integration across product, mobile, POS, enterprise systems, and external vendor platforms to create a seamless operational experience
  • Optimize user experience for store, field, mobile, and desktop workflows
  • Evaluate opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve operational processes through better system connectivity and data availability
  • Stakeholder Management & Execution
  • Act as the primary point of contact across Store Systems, operations, product, technology, vendors, and leadership stakeholders
  • Facilitate alignment across diverse teams, ensuring clarity on priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs
  • Clearly articulate product decisions, roadmap updates, integration status, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Product Delivery & Agile Execution
  • Write and refine user stories, manage backlog grooming, and participate in sprint planning and execution
  • Work closely with engineering, architecture, design, QA, vendors, and business partners to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
  • Lead testing, pilot validation, rollout, operational readiness, and adoption efforts for new features, integrations, and enhancements
  • Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and track KPIs related to adoption, integration reliability, workflow efficiency, operational impact, and store or field outcomes
  • Leverage data, system performance information, and user feedback to continuously refine workflows and product experiences
