Job summary

Sage is seeking a customer-focused Product Manager to lead the simplification of SMB accounting solutions. You will define vision, strategy, and a roadmap for SMB accounting workflows across not-for-profit, healthcare, financial services, and project-based sectors, partnering with customers, accountants, and engineers to deliver scalable, intuitive software.

This hybrid role is based in Atlanta and requires three days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• PM experience in accounting software, ERP, or B2B SaaS.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, workflows, and SMB needs.
• Proven ability to simplify complex processes and deliver intuitive software.
• Experience with product strategy, roadmapping, prioritisation, and cross-functional delivery.
• Strong analytical, customer discovery, and stakeholder management skills.
• Balance reusable platform capabilities with industry-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for SMB accounting solutions across multiple verticals.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows through AI, automation, and intelligent solutions.
• Balance common capabilities with industry-specific requirements to create scalable solutions.
• Conduct customer research, competitive analysis, and market assessments to identify customer needs and growth opportunities.
• Evaluate workflows including general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, reporting, and close processes.
• Translate accounting processes into an intuitive, efficient user experience.
