Job description

Product Manager, Marketing Technology

We are hiring a Product Manager, Marketing Technology for a newly created role focused on customer experience, loyalty, and the technology that supports how customers engage across digital and physical channels.

This person will own and help shape the roadmap for customer-facing marketing technology, including Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), CRM, event collection, attribution, personalization, segmentation, and loyalty.

The organization is currently evaluating new CDP and CRM technology, including platforms such as Braze, Iterable, and Blueshift. Experience evaluating, selecting, implementing, integrating, or owning similar platforms will be highly relevant.

This is not a Product Manager role where you simply write requirements and hand them to Engineering. The team is looking for someone who is hands-on and comfortable prototyping, building POCs, testing ideas, and figuring out what works before scaling a solution.

What You'll Do
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for marketing technology and customer data platforms.
  • Lead initiatives involving CDP, CRM, loyalty, marketing automation, mobile applications, and related customer technologies.
  • Help evaluate and select new platforms and vendors as the organization evolves its MarTech ecosystem.
  • Define and prioritize capabilities based on customer needs, business value, technical feasibility, and measurable impact.
  • Develop the roadmap for customer data, event collection, attribution, personalization, and segmentation.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Data, Analytics, Technology, Product, and Retail Operations.
  • Connect technology initiatives to customer acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Integrate customer technologies to support a unified customer profile and more personalized experiences and offers.
  • Support customer journeys that span both digital and physical retail experiences.
  • Prototype solutions, build proofs of concept, test ideas, and use results to determine where to invest.
  • Establish success metrics and use data, experimentation, and customer insights to guide product decisions.
  • Improve the quality and reliability of customer event collection and attribution.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging marketing technologies.
  • Maintain documentation around system architecture, integrations, workflows, and product capabilities.
  • Share product management best practices and help strengthen the broader Product Management function.
  • Explore practical applications of AI across products, customer experiences, prototypes, and internal workflows.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, with preference for candidates with deeper experience owning complex customer or marketing technology products.
  • B2C or consumer-facing product experience.
  • Experience with customer loyalty, engagement, or rewards programs.
  • Direct experience with CDP, CRM, marketing automation, customer data, event collection, attribution, or related MarTech platforms.
  • Experience evaluating, selecting, implementing, integrating, or owning customer technology platforms.
  • Understanding of platforms such as Braze, Iterable, Blueshift, or comparable technologies.
  • Experience with customer personalization, segmentation, and unified customer profiles.
  • Experience supporting omnichannel customer journeys across digital and physical environments.
  • Strong cross-functional experience working with Marketing, Data, Analytics, Technology, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Ability to independently own a roadmap and prioritize initiatives based on business value.
  • Hands-on approach with experience building prototypes or POCs rather than relying solely on requirements documentation.
  • Strong understanding of how technology and customer data influence acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Experience using data and experimentation to measure product performance and guide decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within Agile product development environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Nice to Have

Practical AI experience is a strong plus. This could include using AI within a customer-facing product, building an AI-enabled prototype, improving an internal workflow, or incorporating AI into product discovery and experimentation.

Experience within retail, convenience, grocery, restaurant/QSR, hospitality, travel, e-commerce, or another high-volume B2C environment with a significant loyalty or customer engagement program is particularly relevant.
