Job summary

Mercury Insurance is seeking a Product Manager to drive discovery, experimentation, vision, strategy, and delivery across technical insurance products. The role supports shopping, quoting, servicing, and claims processing with a focus on user needs and value delivery.

You will work with Design, Analytics, and Engineering to break down work into epics and stories, build roadmaps, and coordinate releases, while leveraging data to improve UI and API events and tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience in product management.
• 3+ years product management and/or product design.
• 3+ years managing complex initiatives from initiation to completion using product management processes and best practices.
• Experience in defining and implementing product metrics to track performance and success.
• Experience handling all stages of product delivery.
• Experience representing various customers and stakeholders during planning.

Responsibilities

• Identify and understand user needs by conducting research.
• Participate in assumption mapping and work with Design, Product Analytics, and Engineering to run experiments.
• Capture and document enhancement requests in the backlog and work with requestors to identify the root problem their enhancement requests are addressing.
• Gather inputs used to score problems and opportunities and help prioritize.
• Develop and evangelize a product strategy and 1 year roadmap, aligned with the portfolio.
• Understand outcomes and build roadmaps focused on delivering value and track progress.
