Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the Inscape ACR client platform, driving the product vision and roadmap. You will work with embedded engineers and platform architects to modernize the architecture, optimize performance, and align with business objectives.

You will collect input from customers, partners, and internal teams, write clear requirements, and own end-to-end delivery across embedded systems, data, and QA. A strong PM with hardware-aware experience will thrive here.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related area; 3 years' PM experience or 5 years' PM/related experience.
Experience leading technically advanced platform or firmware-based products.
Strong understanding of embedded systems and tradeoffs for resource-constrained devices.
Experience with Embedded Linux and firmware-level integrations.
Knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, and software development concepts.
Proven ability to ship complex products through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Job description

Define and drive the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Inscape ACR client platform
Partner with embedded software engineers and platform architects to modernize the ACR client architecture and underlying technologies
Drive product decisions balancing customer needs, system performance, memory footprint, CPU utilization, power consumption, and BOM efficiency
Identify opportunities involving emerging technologies, media processing frameworks, AI and machine learning, and new architectural approaches
Write product requirements, technical specifications, use cases, and success metrics
Manage prioritization and tradeoff decisions across development timelines, TV firmware releases, technical debt, and business objectives
Collect and synthesize input from customers, partners, sales, engineering, legal, and business stakeholders
Create organizational alignment and buy-in for the product vision and roadmap
Define platform health, performance, and business metrics and partner with engineering teams to achieve them
Manage relationships with TV chipset vendors and platform partners
Drive cross-functional execution across embedded engineering, data engineering, data science, QA, program management, and business teams
Lead initiatives involving performance optimization, platform scalability, and next-generation content recognition capabilities

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in product management; or 5 years' experience in product management or related area
Experience in product management leading highly technical platform, embedded software, consumer electronics, or firmware-based products
Strong understanding of embedded systems and tradeoffs for resource-constrained devices
Experience with Embedded Linux and firmware-level integrations
Understanding of software architecture impacts on hardware requirements, device performance, memory usage, CPU utilization, and product cost
Experience with media processing technologies such as FFMPEG, GStreamer, video pipelines, or similar frameworks
Experience modernizing existing platforms and driving complex technical transformations
Ability to work with engineers on architecture, performance optimization, and system design discussions
Knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, and software development concepts
Proven success shipping complex products requiring coordination across engineering, data science, business teams, and external partners
Exceptional communication, presentation, and writing skills
Skill in creating product artifacts, technical requirements, business cases, and executive-level communications
Equivalent practical experience may substitute for the stated degree
Master's degree and accessibility knowledge are preferred, not required
