Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

Who We Are

TCGplayer, now a part of eBay, connects hobbyists and hobby businesses. We relentlessly pursue customer-focused innovations to provide the most compelling destination and tools for collectible card game enthusiasts and professional sellers. We’re dedicated to serving the global collectible community – millions of buyers and tens of thousands of retailers – representing a $25B hobby market.

As a Product Manager, you will leverage your experience and track record of success to serve as a thought leader and driving force for one of TCGplayer’s critical strategic initiatives: our In Store and Point of Sale products. In this role, you’ll intersect customer needs with our business goals and align cross-departmental teams to deliver features that enhance the quality of life for TCGplayer’s sellers.

You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment to design, implement, and evaluate initiatives that enhance our customers’ lives. Our team prides itself on a culture that fosters camaraderie, embraces diversity, and exudes passion. If you like delighting customers across the collectibles community and can clearly and persuasively articulate “why” something must get done, this is the job for you.

You don’t have to be a hobbyist or gamer to love working at TCGplayer, but you should be comfortable embracing (and amplifying!) our commitment to making hobbies and games accessible, fun, and rewarding for everyone.

Essential Functions

As a Product Manager on the Seller Experience team, you will

  • Optimize core product experience for our sellers by developing tools and services that enable in store transactions, including point of sale services.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams of developers, marketing, design, operations, and sales professionals to launch, optimize, and innovate on TCGplayer’s seller tools for point of sale and in store services.

  • Define and drive the product vision and strategy, measuring and achieving ambitious goals, while effectively navigating challenges and temporary setbacks.

  • Develop software product definitions, from initial value propositions and use cases to individual features and workflows.

  • Oversee and manage planning, execution, and delivery of the project by managing timelines, resources, stakeholder alignment, managing risk, and escalating if needed

  • Communicate the goals and guide the delivery of product solutions, including defining roadmaps, managing backlogs, setting milestones, and overseeing go-to-market plans.

Secondary Functions

You’ll also contribute to TCGplayer’s professional culture and values.

  • Communicate priorities, processes, and outcomes while gathering feedback and new ideas from your customers and teammates.

  • Ruthlessly simplify, prioritize, and sequence competing opportunities to deliver the most value in the shortest time frame.

  • Develop and refine TCGplayer’s product management practices, processes, and standards in a growth-stage organization.

  • Develop competitive and cost-effective product strategies that address the evolving needs of both our domestic and international customers.

  • Identify and prioritize customer needs through direct customer engagement, qualitative research, and data-driven statistical analysis.

Competency (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
  • 7+ years of product management experience, including subject matter expertise in B2B products and services, both within the United States and internationally.

  • Hands-on experience managing SaaS and in-store products, especially those related to point of sale and requiring API integrations.

  • Demonstrated experience in launching and driving iterative enhancements in the point-of-sale space.

  • Ability to coach and guide cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment influencing outcomes without supervisory authority.

  • Capability to manage all aspects of project execution, organization, and coordination while leveraging support as needed for optimal execution.

  • Effectively participate in technical discussions and collaborate with design, engineering and operations teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to challenge conventional thinking and gain stakeholder buy-in to implement new ideas to improve business results.

  • Establish and define programs goals, key phases, and RAID framework while anticipating, addressing, and communicating program-level issues, changes, and resolutions to drive successful program outcomes.

  • Ability to define user stories, epics, experiential goals, and behavioral success requirements to ensure effective and clear product development process.

  • Lead discussions with diverse and sometimes conflicting points of view fostering alignment to reach influence and guide them to decisions and finality.

  • Assess, evaluate, document, and socialize program-level customer needs, value propositions, and user journeys, effectively balancing and prioritizing competing user needs / values.

  • Expertise at customer, operations, and research and past examples of creating new customer value based on said research.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
