Job summary

The Sage Group plc is seeking an experienced Product Manager to shape HR & Payroll domain services that power Sage’s own apps and an ecosystem of partners. This is a platform product role focused on APIs, reusable services, and scalable architecture for a broad set of personas including product teams, accountants, partners, and developers.

Compliance is central, and you will anticipate regulatory and technical shifts to weave them into the roadmap.

Qualifications

• Essential minimum 3 years of product management experience in a compliance-heavy domain
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Genuine interest in AI and how tech advances can improve product capability and team productivity
• Preferred experience with APIs, integrations, platform services, partner ecosystems, or embedded software
• Familiarity with payroll/tax/employment law compliance across markets
• Experience with product-led growth and usage-driven prioritisation

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the HR & Payroll services roadmap with Engineering, Data, Compliance and GTM teams
• Engage with partners and developers to validate needs and map requirements
• Translate regulatory shifts into roadmap and architecture decisions for scalable services
• Collaborate across internal Sage teams to deliver API-driven platform capabilities
• Measure success via adoption, revenue, retention and clear roadmap priorities
