Job summary

System One is seeking a Product Manager to partner with development teams to reduce friction in internal tools, run pilots, empathy sessions, and surveys, and translate feedback into actionable backlog items and prioritized roadmap recommendations.

You will collaborate with Platform Engineering, Product, UX and engineering teams to shape priorities, define and track DX KPIs/OKRs, and own communications around launches, enhancements, and roadmap updates.

Qualifications

5+ years in product management, program management, developer experience, or a related delivery role.
Comfortable leading pilots, focus groups, empathy sessions, and surveys to gather real feedback.
Skilled at turning qualitative and quantitative input into clear, prioritized product decisions.
Experience defining and tracking KPIs/OKRs around adoption, satisfaction, and productivity.
Background supporting product launches, rollout plans, and change communications.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder management — able to work across engineering, UX, and product teams.
Familiarity with Developer Experience (DX) or Internal Developer Platform (IDP) concepts.
Exposure to developer tooling like Backstage, GitLab CI/CD, or developer portals.
Background in product discovery, experimentation, or user research.
Educational requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with developers to understand pain points, workflow friction, and opportunities to enhance internal tools and processes.
Lead pilots, empathy sessions, surveys, and focus groups to gather feedback, then translate those insights into actionable backlog items and prioritized product recommendations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Platform Engineering, Product, UX, and engineering teams to shape roadmap priorities based on developer feedback.
Define and track Developer Experience KPIs and OKRs — covering adoption, satisfaction, onboarding, usability, and productivity — and turn successful pilots into scalable, repeatable processes.
Own product communications around launches, enhancements, and roadmap updates, and regularly report outcomes and insights to leadership.
Support product launches, rollout plans, and change communications.
