Job summary

Forbes Technical Consulting LLC in Chicago is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own delivery of clearing systems, regulatory reporting, and post-trade features for listed/cleared derivatives. Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in capital markets, specifically clearing/transaction processing systems.
• Strong grasp of the post-trade lifecycle for derivatives (futures, options, swaps, or prediction markets).
• Familiarity with FCMs and their integration with DCMs/DCOs.
• Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks (CFTC, SEC, EMIR) and financial system auditing.
• Comfort querying/analyzing data independently (SQL, Python) to validate systems and write data-driven requirements.
• Familiarity with modern architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven systems, distributed ledgers).

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of clearing system, regulatory reporting, and post-trade features for listed/cleared derivatives.
• Partner with Risk on margin engine configuration, collateral valuation, and settlement workflows.
• Maintain data models for trade settlement, position management, and transaction reporting.
• Support clearing member portal and third-party integrations (FIX, APIs, Kafka).
• Conduct market/competitive research to inform roadmap.
• Write functional specs (APIs, workflows, data schemas) for engineering.
• Serve as primary technical/product contact for owned features.
• Ensure service quality and issue resolution.
• Support customer onboarding and API conformance.
