Overview

The Product Manager role is based in a hybrid setting at the Atlanta headquarters.

Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute data-driven strategies to achieve profit, growth, and retention targets for auto insurance products within assigned state(s).
  • Product Development: Define features, manage the product lifecycle, create specifications, and coordinate with IT and other business units to achieve successful implementation.
  • Pricing & Underwriting: Analyze data to develop and adjust pricing, underwriting guidelines, and coverage plans, balancing innovation with financial soundness.
  • Market Analysis: Research market trends, competitor actions, and regulatory changes to ensure products are priced competitively and to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Sales, Marketing, IT, Legal, and external stakeholders such as agents, vendors, and regulators.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Develop and manage state rate, rule and form filings, interact with State Insurance Departments, and ensure adherence to state regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs (loss ratio, retention, growth) and implement corrective actions.
  • Additional context: This role functions as a cross-functional leader and strategic connector across the organization and will work on Renters H-O4 as part of portfolio responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Required: Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience running full P&L over a state or group of states. Significant knowledge of filing laws, actuarial principles, rate structures, and policy form construction. Strong analytical skills for data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Preferred: Minimum 8 years’ experience running full P&L over a state or group of states. Master’s Degree. Professional industry designations (e.g., CPCU). Actuarial/Pricing background.
  • Core Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated team building and collaboration skills; advanced analytical and spreadsheet skills (e.g., Excel, Word, SAS, and related software).
