Job summary

Confluent, an IBM company, is seeking a Growth Marketing Manager to own the growth and expansion journey. This individual-contributor role sits in the R&D Product Department, collaborating with Growth Marketers and Growth Product Managers to define strategy and run experiments.

You will build segmentation from product usage, manage multi-product adoption campaigns, and work with Product on lifecycle communications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience marketing to a technical or developer audience is strongly preferred; especially in growth marketing, lifecycle, product-led growth, or related B2B SaaS marketing.
• Strong written communication: translate technical product value into a clear, credible message for a technical user.
• Demonstrated growth marketing craft: form hypothesis, ship an experiment, measure result, and scale or stop based on evidence.
• Experience owning lifecycle programs across onboarding, activation, adoption, re-engagement, or reactivation, with segmentation, triggers, and journeys.

Responsibilities

• Own growth and expansion concepts within growth marketing, including email and nurture programs across onboarding, activation, adoption, re-engagement, and reactivation.
• Drive expansion campaigns that promote multi-product adoption and deepen usage across the platform.
• Build segmentation and personalization from product usage, account context, and lifecycle stage with cross-functional teams.
• Run a prioritized experimentation roadmap: hypotheses, test designs, success metrics, results interpretation, and scaling decisions.
• Collaborate with Product so lifecycle communications and in-product experiences feel like one customer journey.
• Explore with Product how AI can create new value for customers and speed up research and program execution.
• Create reusable playbooks, measurement standards, and operating processes for lifecycle and expansion marketing.
• Partner with Developer Relations, Community, and Education to drive further product adoption.
