Job summary

Pacific Seafood, a family-owned provider of healthy proteins, seeks a Product Development Manager in San Antonio to lead the Innovation team in ideation, feasibility studies, and new product development. You will partner with Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing to bring products from concept to launch, ensuring quality, cost targets, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, build relationships with vendors, and mentor a growing team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in culinary arts, Food Science, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, culinary R&D, or related role with proven project management.
• Strong knowledge of culinary trends, food safety regulations, and nutritional requirements.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development initiatives with Innovation Team and Sales leadership to meet growth-driven customer needs.
• Manage product development process: idea conception, feasibility, ingredient sourcing, recipe creation, and production integration.
• Establish relationships with vendors to ensure quality ingredients at competitive pricing.
• Oversee market research and culinary R&D efforts, including customer meetings and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing on recipe buildout, production efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
