Job summary

Trident Seafoods is a leading North American seafood company headquartered in Seattle, focused on safety, sustainability, and excellence. The Food Technologist role entails developing new product formulations for wild Alaska seafood, leading R&D projects, and collaborating with chefs and scientists to drive full commercialization of innovative products in a dynamic test kitchen and office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food science, manufacturing, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develops new product formulations and leads projects from concept to commercialization.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams (R&D, FSQA, production) to commercialize products.
• Designs methods to improve ingredient qualities, flavor, texture, and nutritional value while reducing costs.
• Conducts lab and plant trials, records testing data, and supports scale-up activities.
• Mentors junior staff and shares knowledge with the team.
