Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking aSenior Food Technologist to lead end-to-end R&D projects in Alaska seafood products. You will collaborate with chefs and scientists to develop new formulations and process improvements, guiding a team through every stage from concept to commercialization.

You will work with ingredient suppliers on new designs, validate shelf-life and cooking instructions, and support sensory evaluations and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in food science, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in food science or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
• Master's degree in food science or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads end-to-end product development and product renovation projects in the assigned product category and develops concept prototypes.
• Collaborates with ingredient suppliers on new designs, improvements, and cost optimizations for R&D driven product categories.
• Tracks new functional ingredient options for product attributes, improvements and cost reductions.
• Guides other R&D members on innovation and process & product improvement projects.
• Contributes to New Product Development (NPD) exploration and creates an innovation work plan for the category.
• Leads creation of product samples to meet project scope and ensures supply for cook validation.
