Job summary

Trident Seafoods Corporation invites a Senior Food Technologist to lead end-to-end product development in Alaska seafood, collaborating with world-class scientists and chefs. You will drive R&D projects from concept to commercialization, coordinate with suppliers, and mentor teammates while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

You’ll work in a split office and pilot/kitchen setting, with emphasis on shelf-life studies, testing, and new product introductions.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in food science or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred in food science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of food science methods, ingredients and processing.

Responsibilities

• Leads end-to-end product development and renovation projects in the assigned category.
• Collaborates with suppliers on design, improvements and cost optimizations.
• Performs bench top research, shelf-life testing and production trials.
• Leads sensory evaluations and presents findings to vendors and customers.
• Documents tests, creates specifications and maintains project records.
