ATI Specialty Materials in Monroe, NC is offering a Summer 2027 Product Engineering Internship. As a Product Engineering Intern, you'll help transform alloy designs into manufacturable, high-performance products, applying materials science and metallurgical concepts in real production environments.

You’ll work on projects that optimize processing parameters, standardize reheating points for nickel shapes, and support process improvements, with mentorship and exposure to potential full-time

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a B.S. in relevant engineering fields.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred).
• Interest in product development, metallurgy, or high-performance alloys.
• Familiarity with Excel, data analysis tools, or metallurgical lab techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist in optimizing processing parameters for nickel shapes and rectangles.
• Support process standardization and metallurgical activities in production environments.
• Apply materials science concepts to hands-on manufacturing projects.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on alloy designs and manufacturability.
