Job summary

John Deere is seeking a Product Engineer - Software Systems for the Fuquay-Varina, NC location. You will help contribute to the development of Precision Turf solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting, designing software, control systems and test simulations, and integrating hardware with software for golf and mowing products.

Required skills include C/C++, MATLAB Simulink, embedded software, control theory, and experience with CI, Git.

• Skilled in writing and reviewing software requirements to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with system objectives.

• Experience with software version control such as Git
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple streams of work

• Experience relating to the design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems.

• Experience with model-based software development tools
• Knowledge of electronic circuits and components with the ability to read schematics and data sheets
• Experience with embedded systems tools such as emulators, compilers, and simulators
• Experience in automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Agricultural Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent work experience
