Job summary

John Deere in North Carolina (Fuquay-Varina) seeks a Product Engineer - Software Systems to design and develop software for precision turf solutions. You will contribute to embedded applications using C/C++, MATLAB Simulink, and control theory, collaborating in a fast-paced team environment onsite.

The role requires strong problem-solving, clear communication, and experience with CI tools, version control, and testing simulations within a hardware/software stack.

• Experience with software version control such as Git
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple streams of work

Your Responsibilities

Help contribute to the development of Precision Turf solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop software applications, control systems, and test simulations
• Integrate tech stack hardware and software into Golf and Commercial Mowing solutions.

• Experience relating to the design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems.
• Experience with control systems design and analysis on turf applications
• Experience with model-based software development tools
• Knowledge of electronic circuits and components with the ability to read schematics and data sheets
• Experience with embedded systems tools such as emulators, compilers, and simulators
• Experience in automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Agricultural Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent work experience
