Job summary

Expa is seeking a Product Engineer to join our remote team in the USA. You will build polished user experiences across React Native, web, iOS and Android, shipping features end-to-end with a small, agile squad.

The role emphasizes modern React/React Native, TypeScript, and collaboration with product and design to turn ideas into measurable improvements. The ideal candidate has strong product instincts, attention to UX detail, and comfort working across APIs, native integrations, and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Strong product-minded engineering with track record of shipping consumer features.
• Solid UI/UX judgment and an eye for interaction design, responsiveness, and polish.
• Strong React Native, TypeScript, and React experience building production mobile apps for iOS and Android.
• Strong web experience with React, Next.js, RTK/RTK Query or SWR, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience building and debugging React Native apps on real iOS/Android devices.
• Experience integrating native device capabilities and platform APIs from React Native.
• Working knowledge of native iOS development with Swift, Xcode, UIKit.
• Working knowledge of native Android development with Kotlin, Android Studio, Gradle.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Fastlane or Docker for deployments.
• Writes maintainable code with testing and quality tooling (RN Testing Library, Jest, Cypress, XCTest, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Build polished user experiences across React Native, web iOS and Android.
• Develop new mobile features in React Native while maintaining native apps.
• Collaborate with product and design to turn rough ideas into shippable improvements.
• Work across APIs, debugging, and native integrations as needed.
