Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Product Engineer to join our team in San Jose, CA, focusing on rack frame and PDU products. You will own product management, pre-sale coordination, and support across the lifecycle from kickoff to end-of-life.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will design and maintain an inventory tracking application, develop automation scripts, and help manage data center product solutions that scale for Cloud, HPC, and enterprise deployments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
• Relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL) knowledge.
• Automation programming with Python/Java or similar languages.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Shell Scripting, and PHP.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a self-directed environment.
• Experience with server systems, rack frames, and PDUs is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with product manager on product lifecycle from kickoff to EOL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and maintain inventory tracking application.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts for inventory tracking and management.
• Manage rack frame and PDU products including product management and technical pre-sale support and coordination.
