Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Product Engineer to support, test, and validate storage system level products. You will configure, deploy, troubleshoot, validate storage performance and application solutions. This role will be located in San Jose, CA.

The position involves collaboration with engineering and product teams to plan releases and ensure quality across the product life cycle. A BS/MS in engineering and hands-on mechanical experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science,_Material Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of system or mechanical engineering experience desirable.
• Experience configuring computer systems; familiarity with Windows Server and Linux.
• Solid mechanical background; experience with ProE and CAD design.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of mechanical products based on customer requirements.
• Evaluate mechanical design of chassis and servers.
• Design testing methods; validate manufacturing, assembly, and installation processes.
• Assist product manager to define release planning and development activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for sustaining supports like RMA and ECOs.
• Provide documentation and technical know-how for chassis/server products.
