SMTC Corporation is seeking a Product Engineer in Melbourne, FL to support customer products across the manufacturing lifecycle by developing, implementing, and optimizing processes. You will act as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams, supporting NPI, process development, and continuous improvement within a high-reliability EMS environment.
You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Customer teams to deliver robust manufacturing
Qualifikationen
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline required.
- Minimum 3–5 years in electronics manufacturing engineering.
- Experience supporting NPI, process development, validation, and continuous improvement.
- DFx opportunities to improve manufacturability, quality, reliability, and cost.
Aufgaben
- Lead discussions on product requirements, manufacturability, and solutions.
- Lead NPI activities ensuring manufacturing readiness for launches.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for quality and efficiency.
- Review PCNs, ECNs, and technical docs for accurate implementation.
- Identify DFx opportunities to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost.
- Design tooling and fixtures to support production.
- Analyze manufacturing data and drive continuous improvement.
